The Control Tower was notified as soon as the vehicle crossed the border from Greece into Bulgaria, immediately activating the tracking procedures. The theft was promptly reported to the Greek police, who subsequently entered it into the Schengen system, activating a Europe-wide search for the vehicle.
The Control Tower closely collaborated with the local Secure Operations Center in Bulgaria, providing real-time updates on the vehicle's exact location to local authorities. Thanks to this continuous and accurate information, the Bulgarian police successfully located the vehicle after a thorough investigation. The car was successfully recovered later that same day, just before midnight.
