A Partnership Built on Trust and Security: Our Journey with FDL Group

At G4S Telematix, we're thrilled to share the story of our long-standing and evolving collaboration with FDL Group. Our relationship dates back to 2005, when we initially provided them with our Secure Fleet Management solution, complemented by our vigilant Control Tower monitoring and response. A substantial contribution to this success came from Spyros Lempesis, then Warehouse & Distribution Manager at Papastratos-Philip Morris International. In 2022, our partnership entered a new phase, and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to further elevate their security standards. This renewed and deepened collaboration truly embodies our shared commitment to excellence and innovation.

In our renewed partnership, we were entrusted with a significant challenge: securing TAPA FSR (Level A) certification for FDL Group's warehouses, the industry's most rigorous security standard. Given their demanding collaborations and the high-value cargo they manage, achieving these top-tier security standards was paramount. Our Head of Security Risk Management, Michalis Chronopoulos, directed this project, conducting in-depth risk assessments, providing expert consulting, and offering invaluable advice. Thanks to Michalis's work, supported by the crucial collaboration of Spyros Lempesis, then FDL's Warehouse Manager and currently FDL Group's Security & Customs Consultant Manager, FDL Group successfully achieved this crucial certification, laying a strong foundation for our continued collaboration.


Next, FDL Group prioritized enhancing on-site security. We proudly delivered tailored solutions, including portable Panic Buttons for their warehouse security teams. Our Control Tower diligently monitors these devices 24/7, ensuring that in any emergency, our Secure Operations Center can immediately intervene and coordinate with local authorities for a swift response. We also provided comprehensive Security Awareness Training, empowering their team with the knowledge and skills to operate securely.


The success of these initial endeavors led to an even more significant collaboration. When FDL Group embarked on designing new facilities, they sought our expertise from the very beginning. We were excited to provide proactive risk assessment, security system evaluation, and consulting before construction even began. This foresight proved invaluable, successfully leading to the next TAPA FSR certification, significant cost savings, and greater operational efficiency in the long run.


This collaboration with FDL Group truly showcases how a shared commitment to security, innovation, and people can lead to remarkable achievements. We are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together and look forward to continuing to support FDL Group as they expand and innovate.
