1. Do I need to bring my motorbike for installation of the Driver ID?

No, you do not need to take any action regarding the equipment! The Driver ID Tag comes fully pre-programmed by G4S Telematix and will be sent directly to the address you have provided. The only remaining step is to integrate it with your bike keys.

2. Does the Driver ID prevent the engine from starting?

The default setting of the Driver ID does not block the engine start. Its basic role is identification: it confirms that the driver is the authorized user and, in case of an unauthorized driver, it sends an immediate notification to our 24/7 SOC and to you. However, the feature of engine immobilization (Immobilizer) is possible as an additional function, if the customer desires it.

Important Note (Compatibility): To activate the immobilization function, the technician inserts the Immobilizer into a critical electrical circuit of the vehicle, such as the ignition mechanism or the fuel supply. Essentially, the device acts as a remotely controlled electronic switch that cuts off the power supply upon command.

This critical electrical intervention is carried out exclusively by the specialized and certified technicians of G4S Telematix. Our technicians possess the necessary expertise to select the ideal cut-off circuit and to integrate the mechanism in a manner that is absolutely safe, reliable, and invisible (stealth installation).

3. Is my annual subscription affected by the addition of the Driver ID?

Your annual subscription is not affected by the upgrade. The amount covers the one-off purchase of the Driver ID equipment and its integration into your system. The 24/7 monitoring service remains active through your current subscription.

4. What additional protection does the Driver ID offer me, beyond simple tracking?

The Driver ID offers a new, critical level of security:

• Unauthorized Use Recognition: If your motorbike starts without the authorised driver being recognized via the Tag, the system immediately sends a special signal to the 24/7 Signal Receiving and Incident Management Centre of G4S Telematix.

• Immediate Response: Our professionals react instantly, ensuring the fastest possible recovery in the event of an attempted theft.

5. I have a Keyless locking system. Are there any restrictions?

There are no restrictions. The Driver ID begins its identification function as soon as the engine is started, regardless of whether you use a conventional key or a Keyless system.

6. If I live on the ground floor or 1st floor and my motorbike is directly below or next to me, can the Tag's range be active?

The device uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. The range of BLE depends on factors such as building materials and interference. At close distances (3-5 meters), there is a possibility of recognition.
